Recorded at Studio Dedé, Tokyo, June 20, 2019. Recording engineer Shinya Matushita. Mixed, edited, and mastered by Tom Larson. Produced by Tom Larson. All songs composed by Tom Larson/Blue 20 Music (ASCAP). Sponsored in part by a grant from the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, Glenn Korff School of Music, University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The songs on this album were all recorded in about four hours on June 20, 2019. Our only preparation for the session was a two hour afternoon rehearsal and evening gig at the Into the Blue jazz club in Machida on the preceding day. The basic tracks - piano, vibes, sax, bass, drums - were all recorded live; Dane's congas on Dark River and some synths and processing were later overdubbed. My sincerest thanks go out to Chris, Toru, Yoshi, Take, and Dane for learning, interpreting, and bringing my music to life. Bravo, gentlemen!

Special thanks also goes out to Susumu Watanabe of the Tokyo Brass Art Orchestra, who put everything together. Watanabe-San, I couldn't have done it without you! Find out more about the TBAO here: www.facebook.com/TokyoBrassArtOrchestra
